The people behind the work

Minds at Work was founded by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey, the researchers who developed the Immunity to Change™ approach. It is today part of Incandescent — an advisory firm that brings these tools and frameworks to organizations pursuing strategies that require them to break through the limits of how they currently operate.

Co-founder

Robert Kegan is a psychologist and one of the world's foremost researchers on adult development. He spent four decades on the faculty of Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he developed the constructive-developmental theory that underlies the Immunity to Change™ approach. His books — including The Evolving Self and In Over Our Heads — have shaped how researchers, educators, and practitioners understand how adults grow in complexity of mind throughout their lives.
