We had one workshop with Diabetes Professionals where we used the ITC concept. It was in a communication workshop in germany. They liked the concept – it is so rational! I cannot give you any marketing ideas because it was part of a workshop they had to take – the didn#t know what was coming 😉

    Dear all,
thank you for bringing up ideas how to deal with Inner Critique and make this approachable for the ITC-Approach.
I agree with most of what you say – just want to add one idea and maybe a checkbox for getting an idea of what we are dealing with when we are in front of our clients.
When i am working with ‘inner critique’ i think it is useful to consider what quality the inner critique has.
One type of inner crtique could be ‘keeping you away from doing something’ – what you describe in your thoughtful post. You can argue with this inner critique and it will change over time and while growing it may loose its power. Another quality is a cynical inner critique. It is hard for me to describe, like a cynical voice dragging you down all the time no matter what you do. I find this phenomena not that often but suggest to keep it separate from the first one. This unwanted inner guest you may just throw out of the window and practice a strong stand for that. I am not sure if it is possible to integrate that in the ITC approach because it seems to be pre-rational.
Why is this important? If the client deals with a cynical inner critique and we, as coaches, want to rationalize we may support that critique.
Does this make sense to you?
